Coach education
SCL is a 1st4sport registered centre, enabling us to deliver a host of coaching qualifications, including the FA Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certificates.
The FA Level 1 provides an excellent introduction to coaching for people with little or no coaching experience.
Participants gain a basic understanding and knowledge of delivering coaching sessions through fun games. They also receive first-aid and child-protection training.
The FA Level 2 course is aimed at coaches with a few seasons' experience and is the next step towards becoming a recognised football coach. Candidates develop an understanding of the planning, conducting and evaluation of football coaching sessions through a combination of practical experience and class-based theory.
